Northart Gallery

Northart is excited to host a solo exhibition of contemporary artist Sasha Reid.

Sasha Reid is a prolific self-taught artist, who creates wooden sculpture on a large scale. Reid has exhibited widely in public spaces across Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand.

“Reid’s sculpture speaks of humans’ intervention in nature, how our need to commodify the natural world has its limits. In introducing wood as the vehicle to describe his shapes and forms, he has made a connection back to nature and our intervention in it.”

This exhibition will open with an event on Sunday 22nd of August from 3 to 5 pm, and then run daily at Northart until 3rd of October. Public programming will include an Artists Talk on Sunday the 12th of September and an Artists Workshop on Saturday the 25th of September.
