A Repair Café is a pop-up event where people bring their broken and damaged belongings and local experts sit down with them and do their best to repair them. It’s all about bringing people together, connecting local people in their communities with others who are happy to share their skills and knowledge, saving people money and reducing the amount of material that ends up in our landfills.

Typical items that are repaired are:
- Small electrical appliances
- Clothing - patching, hemming, let in or out
- A wobbly leg on a chair or coffee table / wooden objects
- Computers and laptops: software or hardware / diagnose what is wrong with them
- Bicycles – servicing, tyre repair
- Children toys – glueing, stitching, figuring out what is not working

About 70% of the items that are brought in are successfully repaired. At worst you'll make friends and have a good cup of coffee or tea and something yummy to eat.
