Reotahi Snorkel Day - Season Finale

The last snorkel day in our Reotahi Summer Series in 2021!

Bring the whole whānau and explore the waters of the Whangārei Harbour Marine Reserve. Bring your own gear or get free hire of our mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuits and go snorkelling with one of our experienced snorkel guides! You never know what you might spot - Discover triplefins, leatherjackets, nudibranchs, and many more species living around the rocky reef.
Recommended for everyone 5 years and up. All children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult beach observer.

No pre-registration necessary for this event - just turn up and register with us on the day!
Sea conditions permitting - please check out our fb event and website for postponements. We are unable to announce last minute changes to the event via eventfinda. Back-up date is 7th March.

Directions: After McLeods Bay follow Reotahi Rd, then to the end of Beach Rd and up to the Reotahi carpark at the top of the hill.

Snorkel equipment and all joint surfaces will be sanitised thoroughly between uses. There will also be an event QR code to use on the day.

After your snorkel you can also walk to the nearby freezing works or climb Mt Aubrey or even Mt Manaia.

Experiencing Marine Reserves runs a series of free and subsidised events over the summer months - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations, either cash on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event. Most people donate $5-10pp.
