Accompanied by pianist Mark Bradley, this afternoon’s concert will be a whirlwind of Chanson, Musical and Classics – featuring ‘ I Dreamed a Dream – Les Miserable, La vie en Rose – Piaf, Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah coupled with anecdotes from her fascinating career. Denise is renowned for her versatility, thrilling audiences with her performances in Opera and Musical, CATS, Evita, J.C. Superstar, The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Beauty and the Beast, The Marriage of Figaro, La Traviata and the Bartered Bride to name a few. One of New Zealand’s most successful Stage performers, Denise Norton has been hailed as the “Dark haired beauty with the cultured Mezzo-soprano - her presence as astounding as her voice.” Live performances have taken Denise to the J.F.Kennedy centre in Washington DC , Theatre des Westens in Berlin, Theatre an der Wien in Vienna, onboard Germany’s luxury Cruise liner MS Europa and to the TV screens with Eurosport, performing ‘You must love Me’ from her 2nd CD release.
