Learn about the science behind earthquakes, play with the liquefaction simulator and understand how streets were buried and buildings sunk. Use LEGO to design new buildings for Christchurch.
Try to solve the puzzles on the activity sheet and expend some energy jumping on the spot to create a mini-quake for the seismograph to read.
'Quake City' is Canterbury Museum’s special exhibition about the earthquakes, located at 299 Durham Street North.
