Pyjamarama

Put on your PJ’s, and bring your torches and teddy bears down to Otago Museum for a pyjama party to kick off the school holidays.

Exploring the Museum at night is a magical experience for Dunedin’s children, and this year it will be better than ever. Rainbow Rosalind will be here with a special starry night themed show. The University Book Shop’s superstar storyteller has her best books ready, and there will be surprises, challenges, games, crafts, and science experiments tucked around every corner.

You can uncover stories and juicy facts about some of the most interesting items in our collection with costumed staff in our galleries, and watch some explosive science shows about the night sky and nocturnal nature that will delight the whole family.

The Café and Shop will be open for snacks and shopping, and there'll be spot prizes for all sorts of things, including the best pyjamas – even the adult ones!

This is a night that your child will remember. Tickets sell out quickly every year, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Please note, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
