Planning a Financial Future

Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This course runs on Tuesdays 7 - 8:30 PM over four weeks starting 3 August 2021.

The rules for successful wealth creation start with cashflow security but also follow basic economic rules that are easy to learn and follow. In this course, we will consider issues such as tax structures, investments, KiwiSaver, estate planning, risk and reward, shares and property. You will leave the course with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

- Introduction to the major asset classes
- How to start an investment portfolio
- Basic taxation rules to learn
- What does retirement mean to you
- How to get returns on shares or property
- The future and where you fit in

What to bring: Pen, paper, calculator and a water bottle if you want.
