Phoenix Summit

Calling all creatives! Join us for our first networking event of the year, Phoenix Rising. A space to inspire, connect and support New Zealand talent in the creative industries, a time to share stories of the summer and look at what 2021 holds.

Phoenix Rising, Wynyard Pavilion, 4th March from 5 pm. The first Phoenix event of 2021 with the incredible Poppy Tohill, co-manager of Benee & founder of Kicking Roses, and Julia Parnell, director of the Six60 documentary 'Till the Lights Go Out' and founder of production company Notable Pictures announced as our first two speakers.

2020 was a rollercoaster for so many in the creative industries, some had to return to New Zealand from their lives overseas, events were cancelled and new opportunities arose spontaneously. A year that was unpredictable, uncertain and at times isolating, was also a year that encouraged the world to be more empathetic, kind and look for the good whenever possible.

2021 has already come with its own twists and turns, some of the largest festivals held globally, some incredible New Zealand films being released and a whole lot of opportunities for those in the creative industries. However, some significant issues have also been brought to the surface that has highlighted a greater need for discussion around the kind of culture we want to encourage across not only our creative industries but our society as a whole.

Join us as we explore the current state of the New Zealand creative industries, hear from some remarkable speakers and create a space to be inspired by like-minded people. Through connection and collaboration, we rise together.
