Paddy Free (Pitch Black)

Paddy Free is one of New Zealand's most respected electronic musicians. Best known for his work as Pitch Black with Michael Hodgson, his solo career has found him writing music for film, theatre, dance, television and multimedia art, as well as acting as producer and engineer for many world-renowned New Zealand artists including Salmonella Dub, Kora, The Adults, Crowded House, Neil Finn, and the Auckland Philharmonia and New Zealand Symphony Orchestras.

Having just released the critically acclaimed Pitch Black album “Third Light”, Paddy is now busy on a second collection of dub remixes to follow 2016’s “Paddy Free In Dub”, which saw him re-work his productions for Nga Tae and Moana and the Tribe. “In Dub - Vol. 2" is due for release March 2021.
