The "Pa 5000 Fun Run or walk" is a community event for the young and not so young to participate in. This 5km course, for a small registration fee, is around the streets of Clarks Beach, with a presentation at completion of trophies and some great spot prizes for participants to win. This annual fun event is a fundraising initiative by local volunteers of the Waiau Pa Netball Club, with the funds raised subsidizing the netball costs involved for our players. With categories of men, women, masters, child, gold card - there is a category for everyone.
As with any fundraiser, there is also the sausage sizzle and drinks for sale so come along and enjoy the 2nd of May, Sunday, in a lovely relaxed environment by the beach!
