'Outsiders At Home' Exhibition by Rolph Hediger and Fiorella

A collection of paintings from the last few years by Fiorella Silva Pérez and Rolph Hediger. Their works explore the process of immigration, and the challenging transition between the uprooting and the discovery of new horizons. Take each day as a new opportunity for personal growth and learning.

Fiorella Silva Pérez is a Visual Artist interested in creating art that addresses current issues that affect different aspects of society. She has always been interested in themes such as poverty, racism, violence, migration, and history and seeks to express these themes through her art. Fiorella immigrated to New Zealand from Uruguay with her two sons and currently resides in Mount Maunganui. In her free time, Fiorella enjoys spending time in her studio and doing outdoor activities. She is passionate about the beach, reading, running, and spending time with her loved ones.

Rolph Hediger is a visual artist from South Africa who primarily works with paint. In his paintings he is interested in expressing a quiet, melancholy feeling. He also tries to explore his long and complicated relationship with Christianity.

This exhibition is on show in The People's Gallery from the 10th - 24th July.
Open 10am-3pm Monday-Friday and 10am-2pm Saturdays.
