Open Arts - Otago Peninsula Artists - "Almost An Island"

The OpenArts - Peninsula Artists Annual Autumn Exhibition. They present an eclectic variety of art from paintings - pastels - ceramics - woodturning - fabric printing - Collage - photography - Pottery - and more!

Annually presented in Macandrew Bay it attracts people from all parts of the City of Dunedin - of the province of Otago - of the South Island and often the rest of NZ! In the past there have been many visitors from overseas but of course this year, this sadly will not be so.

The immense talent of the Peninsula Artists is legendary! With such well-known artists as Anne and Gemma Baldock - Pauline Bellamy - Manu Bellamy -Doug Williams - Graham Geary - Roger Weston - the superb Doll maker Jan Mclean - Pastel Artist Cathy Shemansky - Janet Smith - Potter Kathy Palenski - Doug hart - Clair Beynon and Kylie Matheson - Hannah Baily for her incredible jewellery - award-winning artist Heather Chapman - and Keiran Cromar to mention only a few of the amazingly talented people who live and work their Art on the Peninsula.

It an event not to be missed - well worth driving out onto one of the most beautiful places in Otago in fact one of the most beautiful harbours in NZ! There are also so many other attractions to visit when you are there!
