Spring is wonderful at Ngā Manu, birds are nesting, and the wetland and forest are abuzz with new life. You will experience both forest and wetland habitats, encountering kākā, kea and kākāriki in walk-through aviaries and kiwi in a nocturnal house. When the weather is warm, there is nothing like picnicking on the lawns overlooking the ponds or hiring BBQ Island for a gathering of friends and whānau. Connecting with each other in nature.

October is Save Kiwi Month and Children will enjoy our Golden Kiwi Egg Hunt (included with your entry fee) as they explore the forest walk, winding its way through swamp maire, puketea, kohekohe and 400-year-old kahikatea.

Golden Kiwi Egg Hunt...

A winner will be drawn at random on 11th, 18th, 25th October and 1st November.
