This 2-day class is a great introduction to forging and fold forming jewellery materials to create delicate, wearable pieces. Learn to manipulate metal into beautiful organic shapes, using traditional jewellery tools and materials. Simple forms like leaves become amazingly 3-dimensional and lifelike using the techniques you will be taught. Circles and other simple geometric shapes can be used as well to craft stunning earrings and pendants. We will work in copper first to learn the processes and have a practice piece, then you can choose between using plain sterling silver or bonded sterling and copper for your final piece/pieces. The bonded copper and silver allows you to create a really dynamic piece using the contrast of the copper on one side and bright silver on the other which is really exciting.

This is a stand-alone class, but the techniques and the pieces you make in this class will make an excellent base for the enamelled jewellery made in the second class on offer over this long weekend.

Basic materials are all supplied and those who wish to make more than one item or larger pieces are able to purchase more materials in class.
