Music For Good Friday

The Palmerston North Choral Society will present 12 popular chorales and choruses from major choral works, in an hour-long concert to commemorate Good Friday. They will be accompanied by the highly acclaimed New Zealand organist Douglas Mews, and directed by Alison Stewart QSM. The choir will perform the opening chorus of the St John Passion by Johann Sebastian Bach. Another highlight will be their performance of two of the most moving choruses from Stabat Mater by Karl Jenkins. Tickets can be obtained from choir members, or at the door from 7 pm.
