Movie Screening: Cousins

Announcing a special feature film screening as part of the 2021 Naenae Matariki Festival. Based on a novel by acclaimed Māori author Patricia Grace, Cousins is the story of three cousins whose journeys through life are woven together through time.

Cousins is centred around three female cousins - Mata, Missy and Makareta - who are connected by blood but separated by circumstances, and spend a lifetime in search of each other. The story is bound to a grand belief that shared whakapapa (geneological links) can never truly be cut, despite distance, time and heartbreak.

This is a free event, but we’re fundraising to support Manaaki Whānau Trust ki Poneke’s pātaka aroha food pantry on Cambridge Tce, so please bring a small koha if you can.
