Manifest Kitsune's debut album Metamorphosis is unleashed upon the world, so it's time to party like you've just erupted from your chrysalis.

Manifest Kitsune - prolific director /musician/music producer JOY aka Hide - and former music critic for The Press turned singer/songwriter Hannah of Howl aka Kitsune - bring their unique electronic, synthwave, live vocal, downtempo sounds to a new level with this live set, upping the bpm to become the evolution known as Hyper Kitsune - you will not be able to stop moving.

Joined by the enigmatically talented electronic music producer Rosetown and techno/minimal DJ legend Yuhei Kubo, this is an exclusive mix of live, experimental electronica and banging beats will warm your soul and bones 'til summer returns.

Manifest Kitsune: JOY aka Hide is renowned for multiple musical projects including Rare Shot Blue with a L.A Mitchell (Fly My Pretties), Lucy Boanas a.k.a Lucy Hiku (Tui Children's music award winner) and tour/performing singer Sacha Vee, and JOY X Libeau with Natalie Libeau. Hannah aka Kitsune is a freelance writer with a critical ear for music who decided to join in the fun one day and has since been involved with various musical projects and random jams with musicians over the last decade ranging from psychedelic rock with Rueben Stone, a three piece bass/drum/vocal punk band and experimental/folk/rock/ creation with the bassist & drummer from Psychic Maps. After a hiatus focusing on writing for The Spinoff and NZ Drug Foundation the itch to sing and write lyrics returned & that is when she began putting out feelers, promptly meeting Hide.

The result is Metamorphosis, an album recorded over three months in 2021. Fresh, raw, thrilling, thought provoking, complex, beautiful, intense, gentle, curious, this album represents two forces of nature finally coming together to create something new, deep, profound, and moving.

Rosetown: Hailing from the Waikato, Christchurch newcomer Rosetown produces a sound which combines an atmospheric small town influence with that of the gritty dystopian nature of Otautahi; this combination is replicated in his largely improvised live sets which traverse multiple genres and tempos.

Rosetown's extraordinary debut EP has been pulsing up the RDU Te Ahi Top 10. A recent graduate of Mainz, he is making ripples everywhere he goes. His exclusive live improvised set will never be repeated; don't miss out.

Yuhei Kubo: Born in Japan, raised Christchurch NZ, Yuhei Kubo started his music career back in 2008 with his debut release, a remix of Greg Churchill’s “Mulcha”. Gaining traction and support from his pairs and DJ’s globally, he was picked up by labels such as Cosmonote Blue, Southern Cross, RadioActivity and Bonerizing Records.

He has done remixes for F.O.O.L, Greg Churchill, Life Express and Meat Katie to name a few. Yuhei Kubo also worked with a Canadian Indie band called “These Electric Lives” which featured in the top 100 Electro House on Beatport back in 2011.

Yuhei Kubo has always had an eclectic view on music, and it shows as his music featuring guitars, sax, vocals and most of all, heavy basslines.
