Same words but different questions. You will explore both in an entertaining and instructive workshop on the memoir, offered by writer Witi Ihimaera, in his very brief trip to Hamilton this August. “The memoir has become the most popular form in New Zealand today,” he writes, “either as autobiographical essay or book. It’s also the most rewarding, not only personally but also as a record for family and whanau about who you and they are.”
Witi will offer exercises on structure, style, ways of finding your voice and telling your story. He is the author of two memoirs and his latest book is Navigating the Stars published last November.

The Trust Waikato Building is on Little London Lane, off London Street, Hamilton. There's a few carparks outside the venue on weekdays with other parking on city streets nearby.
