COVID LEVEL 2 UPDATE: The easing of restrictions has allowed us to release more tickets to this event, which had sold out under the original Delta Level 2 guidelines!

Please join us for a fundraiser quiz night at Parrotdog to celebrate Manawa Karioi Ecological Restoration Project's 30th anniversary! Your ticket directly supports Manawa Karioi and includes a free pint and snacks, spot and winning team prizes, an informative presentation about the Ecological Restoration Project, and a great pub quiz! We’ll also have a cash raffle with great prizes from Island Bay and Wellington region businesses. Parrotdog’s bar and restaurant will be open for additional purchases. Teams of 6 people, bring your own or form on the night.

The money raised by this event will help pay for the tools, materials, and community outreach that is necessary for ongoing planting, weed control, animal pest control, track development, and maintenance mahi.

The Manawa Karioi Restoration project began in 1991 when the first tree was planted on the Tawatawa Ridge in Island Bay. Thirty years and countless volunteer hours later, we are well on the way to having a regenerated native forest, with native birds, lizards and insects returning to the area. Manawa Karioi is part of the Tapu Te Ranga marae. The marae trustees invite the local community and members of the wider public to explore the extensive network of marked tracks suitable for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riders.
