All new Mambo/Salsa Shines with Gian!

What are Mambo or Salsa Shines?: Shines are one of the key characteristics of Salsa dancing and is a complementing part for salsa partner work. You will use shines when you separate from your dance partner during the dance and create footwork patterns to enhance your dancing. Its plain and simple solo dancing!

Who is this course for: Anyone who wishes to excel with their salsa dancing should most definitely learn shines. This course is for both girls and guys - who are already taking salsa dance classes from level 1. Beginners are welcome, however, need to have knowledge and understanding of the salsa basics to make the most of this course. This course will expose you to better understand the footwork and different elements, look and feel for Mambo/Salsa and/or Latin dancing in general.

Shines is for the most the "missing" part that will complement and enhance your partner dancing - guaranteed. More importantly, it makes you work on your own dancing. You will go over: body awareness, coordination, timing, turns, musicality, rhythm, weight transfer and distribution, directional changes, general dance technique, balance and much more. All these elements are essential for all solo dancing and partner dancing too. The skills you will learn will set you on a path to hold your own on the dance floor. In addition, each course (every 4 weeks) will introduce you to the basics and fundamentals of one mayor dance genre that has shaped Salsa over the years - such as Afro-Cuban, Classic Mambo, Cha Cha, Pachanga and Boogaloo.

No partner necessary.
Pre-requisite: Knowledge of Salsa basics
