Each day close to one million New Zealanders must navigate the challenge of walking between two worlds, the Deaf and the hearing.
Listen Up 2022 is your chance to step outside the hearing world and connect with the experiences of Deaf and hard of hearing New Zealanders.
It is also your opportunity to take a fresh look at the impact that a lack of awareness could be having on your organisation.
According to the World Health Organization, levels of hearing loss may double globally by 2050. This could equate to close to 2 million New Zealanders, over the next 30 years.
How will this impact our community, our economy and our workplaces?
Join the National Foundation for Deaf and Hard of Hearing at Listen Up 2022.
Be inspired by the authentic stories and practical solutions presented by our expert speakers.
Discover the richness of Deaf culture and learn some basic New Zealand Sign Language with an immersive 40-minute workshop.
And, get your hearing checked, at one of the screening kiosks available on-site.
