I’m Still Standing – An Elton John Experience is a live music show gathering some of NZ’s greatest and most experienced musical talent to perform fresh perspectives on Elton John classics, including Bennie & the Jets, Your Song, Rocketman, I Guess Thats Why They Call it the Blues and much more.
The show headlines pianist & singer Josh Clark as Elton John. Described by Theatreview’s Nik Smythe as a “virtuoso keyboard player”, Josh prepares to perform this show fresh off the back of two sold out shows at Leigh Sawmill and Artworks Theatre in Waiheke earlier this year. Major NZ Music Theatre Production credits including Billy Elliot (2016), Cats (2019), recently to great acclaim, The NZ Premiere of Once The Musical. He is currently the Music Director and Pianist for The Candlelight Music Series at St Mathews in The City.
The band comprises some of NZ’s most experienced and talented professional musicians, including Drummer Dan Waterson (Big Ticket), LA/NZ Producer and Bass Player Dan Antunovich (Kitara), Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer Sam Jones (Samson, Live, Tiki Taane, Laughton Kora, Barnaby Weir, Bailey Wiley) and Guitarist Graham Bell (Good to Go).
This show aims to bring a unique and fresh perspective on one of the greatest songwriters of our time.
