“Hate, hate, hate. Double hate. Loathe entirely.”
Whether you love or hate Christmas, the Grinch is the film for you! See the worlds best-loved grump come to life in this hilarious celebration of the true holiday spirit at Otago Museum.
In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children's tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch (Jim Carrey) decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Reluctantly joined by his hapless dog, Max, the Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos. However, the bitter grump finds a hitch in his plans when he encounters the endearing Cindy Lou Who.
Christmas at Otago Museum is magical. There are activities and performances all weekend to get you in the Christmas spirit, from our famous Makerspace crafts with the Christmas elves, to choirs singing all your favourite carols in our beautiful decorated space.
Film screening restricted to ages 3 and up. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available from the Museum Shop, or online. Rated PG, 104 minutes.
