Nau mai, haere mai! Join us every Tuesday morning to lend a hand in our Seed Garden, or to learn more about what it takes to grow your own food.

Over the last year we've been preparing a seed growing and kūmara garden at the Kukutaaruhe community garden, in collaboration with our friends at The Fairfield Project.

Why? Local food knowledge is fundamental to food sovereignty and is part of climate adaptation and reducing the carbon footprint of food.

This working bee/workshop will be facilitated by Mike Heiler - Coordinator of Te Puna Kai o Waikato - a network of kai projects with a shared vision of nourished communities connected to each other and Papatūānuku.

Location: We'll meet you at the Kukutaaruhe community garden - which is visible at the end of the carpark, accessed from College Place which is off Bankwood Road. Please call 02040707511 if you need assistance.
