Hūkerenui farm and Jack Morgan Museum – On this field-trip to Evan Smeath’s farm near Hūkerenui you can learn more about how it is to be a farmer in the swamp. Evan has lived and farmed in the area for many years. Evan will share his experiences and show you around on his farm. Beside his work as a farmer Evan is strongly engaged in the community and he also replant’s parts of his farmland with native plants. We will have a picnic together at lunchtime and then drive back to the Jack Morgan Museum, where Evan will give us a tour.

When: Saturday 13 February, 10am – 2pm
