Gin and Tonic Experience

Our most popular event, our Public Gin and Tonic Experience will see you create heavenly scented botanical gins to celebrate your special day or bring your team together for a day of fun-filled competition.

The Batch Winery will collect you from Matiatia Ferry Terminal, or along the way if you are based on Waiheke, in a private shuttle and deliver you to the highest winery on Waiheke Island where you will enjoy spectacular views from Coromandel to the Sky Tower.

We will start by introducing you to ten botanical ingredients used in a classic gin. We will take you through their history and what they add to the flavour. You will taste, chew, crunch and smell your way through a very hands-on experience. We will then invite you to fashion your own two gin creations to sip, sit back and relax with.

Batch Winery
For lunch, a glass of bubbles is served before Batch Winery’s signature offering of High Tea offers a taste of New Zealand vintage dishes created with a contemporary twist. Their three tiers of great tastes mean you can linger and enjoy the views.

The complimentary Batch Winery shuttle bus will return you to Matiatia Ferry Terminal for a leisurely cruise back across the Hauraki Gulf.
