The celebrated Gibbs Farm is an expansive open-air sculpture park in the beautiful Kaipara Harbour, north of Auckland. It is the greatest collection of large-scale outdoor sculptures in the country with works by some of the world's most renowned artists.
You'll roam among the sculptures and come face-to-face with some exotic animals, including giraffes and zebras.
The park is a 3-4 hour walking experience. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunblock and water. This event will go ahead rain or shine. Tickets are not transferable.
Bring your own picnic lunch or order an Eat My Lunch pack online at www.eatmylunch.nz and use the following promo code at checkout so that your lunch will be available for collection on site at Gibbs Farm (STPHILIPS1811). Every lunch ordered gives a free lunch to a kiwi kid in need. There will also be a coffee cart on site with a selection of hot and cold drinks and muffins, cookies and slices.
There are large lakes and ponds and any children must be supervised around these and around the animals.
Gibbs Farm is private property, open by appointment only in scheduled months visitor days as per website http:/bookings.gibbsfarm.org.nz/reservations. Entry for this visit is via the main gates at 2421 Kaipara Coast Highway, Makarau. Please read the terms of access linked to your tickets.
The Trustees of Gibbs Farm, who charge no entry fee, have generously allowed St Philip's Church in St Heliers to arrange this event to support our pastoral care programme. This covers support for preschoolers to retirement village residents in our community as well as our Outreach programme which is focused on women and children in other parts of Auckland and Northland.
