Fork n Funny March presents Ben Hurley, Bec Sandys, Guy Montgomery, Justine Smith (MC)

In a fully seated setting, we'll be showcasing the best of local comedy in the highly successful format premiered during our world first Together Again series, where we and Live Nation presented some of the first shows in the world safely under Level 2.

You'll be able to order food and drinks directly to your table from your mobiles throughout the show – even if you’re in the front row, although you never know what the comedians will have to say about your order! In the intimate setting of The Tuning Fork everyone’s fair game for some banter.

Ben Hurley has conquered the toughest of crowds and reviewers alike and is adept at tailoring his material and persona to what the event requires. He consistently sells out shows at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, most recently when his show "22 Rants About F*ck" had to be moved from a 120 to a 450 seat venue. Ben is widely recognized from his regular appearances on THREE's 7Days, and The Project. He has had numerous other TV appearances with several Comedy Galas, AotearoHa, After Hours, Funny Roots, @Seven and hosting the 2010 New Zealand Music Awards.

Having won the Billy T Award, the NZ Comedy Guild Best MC (thrice) and the NZCG Best Female Comedian (four times), Justine Smith has established herself as one of the best bloody stand ups we have here in New Zealand. Justine does not suffer fools. No she doesn’t. Those who know Justine will readily testify to the fact the she is one of the most honest comics you’re likely to meet. This combined with her razor sharp wit and biting commentary makes Justine one of the best comics around. A leading light of New Zealand Comedy, Justine is just as comfortable in a theatre or a local bar in the country. Simply put, one of our best.

Urzila Carlson describes Bec Sandys as 'One of the funnuest comics in New Zealand.' Bec stormed onto the New Zealand comedy scene in 2017, using her own brutally honest and hilarious story-telling. Drawing on her colourful palette of life experiences, she paints a picture of life as it truly is: up and down, absurd, and bloody funny.

Guy Montgomery is an award-winning stand up comedian and improviser who, in spite of his best efforts, is still tragically best known as one half of the international smash podcast the Worst Idea of All Time. 2019 saw Guy perform at the invitation-only Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, tape a set for Comedy Central in Austin, Texas, tour his surprisingly and enduringly popular podcast the Worst Idea of All Time through America, Australia and the UK and perform critically acclaimed runs of his solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Perhaps most impressively, Guy has not shit himself since 2018.

We'll be paying careful attention to public health and safety advice on social gatherings and will be working to create a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees. Any restrictions on gathering sizes will be adhered to carefully, but as a seated show Fork n Funny will endeavour to run under Level 1 or Level 2 restrictions.
