Directed by master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, Spellbound (PG) is a twisting tale of romance, murder, and psychoanalysis starring Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck.
The film is notable for its nightmarish dream sequence designed by renowned surrealist artist Salvador Dalí.
Come along to see it on the big screen with a special introduction from artist and curator Nathan Pohio.

About Nathan:
Nathan Pohio (Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu) is an artist and assistant curator at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, chairperson for The Physics Room contemporary art space, and a founding member of Paemanu, a collective of Kai Tahu contemporary artists. As an artist Nathan calls upon Kai Tahutanga as the base from which to express something of the contemporary Māori experience in the face of colonial objectives and histories, coded by strategies of the cinema and avant garde.
