The School of Engineering invites secondary students, teachers and parents to attend Experience Engineering at Waikato! This on-campus, free event will take place in the second week of the school holidays on April 28th to 29th.

Throughout the day, students will engage in various activities to learn about the different flavours of engineering at Waikato. The challenges will be run by our incredible engineering staff and undergraduates who will be more than happy to chat about their work and experiences at the University of Waikato.

During the break, attendees will go on a guided tour around the campus accompanied by our student ambassadors. The tour ends with a "taste" of life at the Halls of Residence with a catered lunch at Bryant Hall and Student Village.

Afterwards, attendees will have a go at one final challenge before closing the day with some prizes and awards.

Here's a general itinerary of one of our 9:30 to 2:30 sessions:

9:15 - Arrive at University - Reserved Parking at Gate 1
9:30 - Welcome
10:00 - Activity 1
10:45 - Activity 2
11:30 - Guided Tour
12:15 - Lunch at the Halls
1:15 - Activity 3
2:00 - Prizegiving and Wrap Up
2:30 - Close

*Please note: the workshops and challenges will be identical on both days so choose the day that works best for you. Please register to come along to Experience Engineering.
