Come and see a free special screening of the first episode (1 hour) of the 3 hour documentary on the life and work of Ernest Rutherford.

Entitled "The Apprentice", this episode covers Rutherford's early life including his electrical researches in Christchurch, his magnetic detector, WT experiments in Cambridge, early radioactivity, and the discovery of the electron.

It will be shown at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm on Tuesday August 31st in the Great Hall.

Free. No booking required.

The Rutherford documentary is based on John Campbell's book "Rutherford Scientist Supreme" and was written, directed, edited, and co-produced by Gillian Ashurst.
