at the Kiosk in the Christchurch Botanic Gardens 10am - 3pm
So we have some fun stuff planned for the school holidays all about zero waste!
Envirokids is about connecting Kiwi Kids to our Environmental Community. Every week there are activities provided by a different organisation in the Envirohub network! Let's learn about the amazing ecosystems all around Christchurch as well as all the ecosystems we share this city with! Let's look at what's happening in our communities and how we can be more efficient with our resources. Christchurch communities are so active and connected, this is a great way to be resource efficient.
Over the holidays we will be having a zero waste party, every Saturday! There will be inspirations how to have a zero waste party, and why do we need to be looking at using zero waste?
Here is what we will be focussing on each week:
Week 1) 10 July - Matariki - Zerowaste connecting with nature, inspired by the Matariki stars
Elements - nature based play, will be running two sessions for matariki inspired nature based play

There will also be Envirokids Matariki inspired activities to do afterwards and while you are waiting too.
Week 2) 17 July - Preparing for a zero waste party
Activities Inspired by plastic free July philisophies - refuse, reuse
There is no need to buy when you can hire
Second hand presents are the best - they come with a story
Upcycling inspirations - add a personal touch
Week 3) 24 July - The Party!
Zero waste games
Zero waste food
And cake!

We will be having a set schedule of games for the afternoon 1pm-3pm. Some Envirokids are inviting friends for a goodbye party. All eco-warrior children welcome to join in!
These events will get Children's University kids an Envirokids resource efficiency stamp in their Passports.
If you book a 10am-3pm ticket you are welcome to turn up at anytime and stay as long as you like within this time. Bookings are not essential but it does help us with our planning.
