James Illingworth (Bliss n Eso) is a pianist and composer known for his emotive improvisational jazz performances. Darren Mathiassen (Shapeshifter, Hollie Smith, Kora) joins him on drums along with Johnny Lawrence (Electric Wire Hustle, Hollie Smith, Solaa) on bass, as they merge musical forces for a night of raucous outbursts and playful interpretations of classic jazz standards, compositions and improvised grooves. This trio have an electrifying and surprising connection that manifests as a powerful live force!

We'll be running this gig according to seated Level 2 rules so bookings for a table in the lounge are essential ($20 for 2-3 people, $40 for 4-6). Although there can’t be as many tables as usual we’ll still be relaying the sound through our PA for the rest of the bar to enjoy!
