All Ages

Every year, the impact of human-created climate change becomes more and more evident, with extreme wildfires, storms and floods ravaging the planet. As we watch this environment crisis unfold, we know that it not only affects our generation, but will impact untold generations to come. While it is true that this global crisis will need to be addressed at all levels of government, our individual actions matter, too.

So what can we do?

Be the change!

At Mahamudra we warmly welcome you to come together for a day of tree planting and community connection. We’ll be planting manuka and flax in this first round of an ongoing project to increase native tree and plant coverage. Join us from 10 am to 3 pm (or if you just have an hour or two to spare, feel free to drop in when you can). We offer free lunch for all volunteers. Bring your family and friends. Together we can create a conscious, wise, warm-hearted world of peace, where people respect and live in harmony with the environment.

Mahamudra Centre’s tree-planting project is part of the Global Tree Initiative. If you’d like to get involved in this amazing project or sponsor a tree, please contact spc@mahamudra.org.nz
