The Cities of the World Exhibition proudly sponsored by Fo Guang Yuan Art Gallery.
In 2020 the Nihon Heritage Quilt Guild in Japan invited them to participate in a joint exhibition with their members and members in France. There were 30 quilt artists in each of the three countries, and 30 Cities of the World chosen, making 90 quilts in all.
After 4 exhibitions in different parts of New Zealand, the quilts will travel to Japan to be shown in Yokohama in September 2021. Then they head to France, Belgium, and Germany during 2022.
This Cities of the World collaboration brings the three nations together, interpreting things completely differently but sharing one artistic vision.
