Woolfeast a visual, tactile overload of contemporary woolcraft will take place on Sunday 27th June 10.30 - 3.30 at the Metropolitan Stand of Addington Raceway.

With over 30 wonderful stallholders, and sponsored by Happy-go-Knitty, Outlaw Yarns, Yarn Queen, Wild Earth Yarns and Kiwi Yarn-a, Woolfeast is your opportunity to buy from some of New Zealand's most talented fibre artists, contemporary designers, the best indie and commercial yarn dyers and find all the tools and patterns needed to create your own unique item, all in one place.

The event is at the Metropolitan Lounge, Addington Raceway. This is a fantastic event which no yarny wants to miss! Sit down, relax, with a coffee and food from the on-site cafe, knit or crochet, catch up with old friends and make new ones. Enjoy your day and treat yourself.

There will be a table on site for the collection of charity donations of knitting and crochet – Woolfeast supports Te Whare Roimata, Foster Hope and Beanies for Babies so there is a wide range of sizes and types of garments needed. Hats, mitts, scarves for teens and adults, hot water bottle covers, baby garments (pure wool for under 6 mths of age).

This event is a marvellous feast for the eyes and fingers! Fuelled by an enormous resurgence of interest online, crafts such as knitting, crochet and spinning have transformed from a quiet hobby to a hipster obsession. Come to the Christchurch Woolfeast and see what the fuss is all about. Many of the traders do not sell through conventional shops, so it is a real treat to have so much talent come together for this event.

Wool is a part of New Zealand's heritage, let's celebrate it!
