Canterbury Ballet presents "Eclipse" for their 2021 Production Season.

Eclipse begins with excerpts from the Ballet "Coppelia", which is a charming, funny and comical ballet for all ages. The ballet is about a girl named Coppelia who sits on her balcony all day reading and never speaking to anyone. Chaos ensues as Franz attempts to win the love of Coppelia, while his fiancé Swanhilda discovers that Coppelia is actually a doll that belongs to Doctor Coppelius, the mad scientist...

Eclipse then moves onto the Modern Dance section of the performance, which includes performances in the Musical Theatre, Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical genres. There is a piece for every age and every person!

Eclipse ends as Canterbury Ballet farewells some of their longest standing students as they graduate onto further dance training. It finishes with a very special piece which says goodbye to the old and welcomes in the new.

Come and celebrate another amazing year of dance with us!
