Brenda Liddiard in Concert

Brenda will be playing an intimate acoustic concert amongst the artwork at the Take Care/E Tiaki exhibition, featuring songs from her new solo album, 70, and favourites from her extensive back catalogue.

With a history steeped in the folk revival of the 1960s in the UK, her eldest brother's love of Americana, and a passionate involvement in environmental and anti-nuclear campaigns, Brenda has been writing songs and playing guitar and mandolin since the 1970’s. Her recent songs cover topics from climate change to refugee issues, menopause (and beyond!), with a touch of humour here and there. Her album, "Box of Memories," was a finalist for Best Folk Album Tui Award, and she was recently a guest at the 2021 Auckland Folk Festival.

Entry is free, but a koha would be appreciated. Seating is limited, so please bring a folding chair or cushion.
