Wellington makers of artistic pop music bring their magic to Paekākāriki.

Lake South
Lake South is an electricUTOPIA artist making DIY pop for the wireless. This is music for a future we forgot. He released his debut album 'If You're Born On An Island the Ocean Heals You' in 2017 and the follow-up, 'Wellington | Te Upoko O Te Ika', in late 2019. Both records have been critically acclaimed with Graham Reid calling Lake an electro-folk postcard poet of his doubting generation.

Birdfeeder
Led by keyboard player and songwriter Stephanie Cairns, Pōneke trio Birdfeeder summons the saltiest of tunes from the wild south seas and granny’s curiosity cabinet. Their art-pop sound is characterised by unearthly melodies, surprising shifts and vintage timbres. Music for time travellers, tea leaf readers and full moon gazers. Birdfeeder has released two singles with music videos, follow the link to find out what you're in for.
