Beginner's Paint Pouring Workshop

Have you ever heard of Paint Pouring? Its basically creating art by pouring paint onto a canvas. However, its not that simple! In this class I will show you how to create your own paint pouring medium you add to the paint in order for it to flow the way it should when you create a paint pour artwork. Ultimately this will save you money when buying the pouring medium which costs around $80 for a 500ml tub. Doing it yourself will cost you under $10 to make for the same amount.

There are also different ways in which you can pour the paint. Each way creates a different effect. This is a 3 hour art class. A demonstration will be given and you will all receive your own canvas and materials you need to create your mixture ready to pour. It will get messy so wear old clothes and bring disposable gloves if you prefer to work that way. Its a great way to meet new friends with a common interest and if you would like to take your artistic dreams further then jump onto board our beginner’s art class and learn the basics on acrylic painting techniques.

Location for this art class will be at the studio, 6 Crosby Street, Mairehau, Christchurch.

This is perfect for beginners who don’t know how to paint. Anyone can do it at any age.

It’s a messy process but in the end you will walk away with a beautiful, colourful painting you created in class ready to hang on your wall once back home.
