“And just like that these words, that formed a scene, that became a story... left...”

This new work sees New Zealand Arts Laureate Ross McCormack step into new territory, exploring the familiar but still sacred space of the Museum to see how voice and dialogue fit into these vast architectural spaces.

McCormack sees this new work taking his established core methodology and style of movement into a whole new domain. Drawing from recent theatre work, this is a new attempt to place the dancer in a more recognisable world.

Please note: this is a promenade piece that will move around different floors. Due to the travelling nature of the performance; it will not be accessible at all times for those who use wheelchairs. However, there are lifts available to take audience members up to the different levels of the performance.

We recommend arriving in the Grand Foyer 15 minutes prior to the performance start time. The performance lasts approximately 50 minutes.

This is a free event and included with Museum entry. The entire Museum will be open until 8.30 PM. Food and drink will is available from Tuitui Museum Cafe & Bistro, located in Te Ao Marama South Atrium. Parking is available in the Museum's underground car park, with the first 30 minutes free. Parking also available in Auckland Domain.
