Brighton Gallery and Mad Poets Canterbury present The Art of Poetry!
An innovative multi artist event combining artworks with poetry. Artists from Brighton Gallery have created exciting artworks inspired by the poems of local writers. Both poems and artworks will be displayed in an exhibition in the Isaac Theatre Royal. This will be accompanied by a live poetry reading event, featuring a range of local poets. Come and laugh, cry, be moved, challenged, provoked, and inspired by a variety of poets telling their unique stories in a range of styles from traditional to contemporary.
Brighton Gallery is a charitable trust aiming to encourage creativity and promote local art and artists in New Brighton and Christchurch.
Mad Poets Canterbury is a project by Awareness: Canterbury Action on Mental Health and Addictions.
