With impressive vocals and atmospheric accompaniment, Kitty Day performs enigmatic song-stories of heartbreak, tribulation and defiance. In a past life, she was a regular at London's underground folk and poetry scene The Lantern Society. Don't miss this chance to spend the evening in her company at New Zealand's oldest pure live music venue.
Kitty's first set will be original songs, and the second set will be an eclectic mix of cover versions accompanied by the versatile and debonair pianist A Mondie Gerbault-Gaylor on the Cabana's soulful baby grand piano.
A special treat for this show will be a support slot from astonishing newcomer Ari Leason, who hails from a large family living on an anarchist farm in Otaki. She writes songs for pleasure and therapy and is definitely one to watch.
Opening the show we are grateful to announce will be the Cabana's own Roy Brown with his unique heartfelt piano and vocal stylings.
