This executive programme teaches critical negotiation skills in memorable sessions devoted to the practical and theoretical alike.
During the first lockdown in 2020 AMINZ developed a purpose built five day online training course which was run very successfully with excellent feedback from participants. Those participants now have the distinct advantage of being purpose trained in online mediation techniques, as well as receiving all the base training that is delivered during the face to face course. As a result of the ongoing uncertainty around physical attendance at events, this year’s AMINZ Mediation Skills Intensive will be offered in this online format again.
The five-day training is split into three-day and two-day learning blocks, over two weeks.
Over the first three days, you will learn the basics of the mediation process with Bruce Cottrill. You will also hear from guest speakers speaking to specialised topics in mediation. The following week will make up the two-day learning block (days four and five). On the fourth day, you will learn the ins and outs of conducting a mediation online, before putting your skills into practise with a mediation roleplay as a group in the afternoon. On the fifth day, you will get to apply your skills further with three mediation roleplays in small groups, assisted by a coach who will provide feedback to you. These roleplays will have a topical focus, with Covid-19 issues to the fore.
