Amand Gerbault – Gaylor : performs Romantic Classical Masterpieces.

Amand Gerbault – Gaylor is a young man with an amazing capacity to bring me to tears of joy. He has a masters touch on the Piano and plays Chopin with divine feeling, space and tempo.

My Mother Mary Poynton was a concert pianist who played Chopin for me in the womb and right up until I was adopted at 2. I found her when I was 30 and we played for each other until she passed in 2002. My younger brother Dan Poynton, who I also meet at 30, is one of NZ’s top Pianists and also loves Chopin. Amand is their equal.

Amand studied Compositions musicales at NZ School of Music Wellington, New Zealand for four years. He returned to Napier 2 years ago to be close to his Family whilst contemplating his next move.

The Cabana purchased a beautiful 5ft 6′ New York Premier Baby Grand piano last year and Amand spends hours every week making it sing. This will be a beautiful night with the wonder of Chopin “The true Romantic” played with absolute grace by this wonderful young Pianist Amand Gerbault – Gaylor. Not to be missed.

Doors at 7pm. Amand will play two 45 minute sets starting at 8pm.
