Watercolour? Too hard? Maybe not.

Learning how to work with a particular medium can be puzzling and watercolour often ends up in the too hard basket.
But like most things, once you learn some techniques and work through the traps you will soon find yourself working with this weird and wonderful medium that challenges so many.

This 3 week workshop will walk you through the basics to build your techniques and confidence.
Weather permitting some of this class will be held en plein air (outside – working on location painting from real life), so it will be fun and refreshing.

We are offering four 3 week Watercolour Workshops
5 to 12 Oct. 2021 9am to 12pm
5 to 12 Oct. 2021 1pm to 4pm
13 to 15 Oct. 2021 9am to 12pm
13 to 15 Oct. 2021 1pm to 4pm
Each one is listed on Eventfinda as a separate event. Find the dates that will suit you.

South Coast Studio offers a variety of art-based workshops which currently include Watercolours, Drawing Fundamentals, Perspective Drawing, Life Drawing and Sketch a Pet.

Prior experience is not required. Our classes are for everyone with an open mind, positive attitude, and willingness to laugh a little while learning.

Located on Wellington’s stunning south coast overlooking Cook Straight, our studio accommodates up to 12 people per session so it’s a social but not crowded affair.

We also host exhibitions, and our studio is available for private events and self-run workshops.
