A youth workshop, held as part of a weekend of events, exploring themes in Candice Lin’s exhibition 'Pigs and Poison', on currently at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery / Len Lye Centre. The exhibition tackles racism, global migration and racialised language in times of pandemic.

Ever been in a spot where you hear a friend say something racist or intolerant? Not sure what to say? On Sunday, join the panellists to delve deeper into these themes, as we take the time to unpack issues of racialised language in times of pandemic, and look at how we can create solutions to address a developing culture of blame. Specifically, how best to respond when you hear casual racism. We will have a separate workshop just for young people 12-18 where you can discuss these issues in a safe space.

Anyone joining this workshop is strongly encouraged to have attended the panel discussion the day prior, as this will inform the themes discussed.
