New York native Wiki made his solo New Zealand debut in 2018, headlining Red Bull’s final Young Gifted & Broke show. Making for a legendary occasion, Wiki shut down one of the last curtain calls for historical venue The Kings Arms, before the iconic pub was shut down the following month.
With it’s lineup curated by Tom Scott, Wiki’s raw, underground lens on New York City is a reflection of Scott’s YGB movement in Aotearoa. After an overwhelming hype surrounding Wiki’s debut Auckland show, the gritty, gap-toothed spitter is returning for one Auckland show in support of his sophomore album, OOFIE.
Following his 2017 debut album No Mountain in Manhattan via XL Records, OOFIE showcases Wiki's sharp witted pen as one of NYC's greatest wordsmiths and distinct storytellers, enlisting features from Denzel Curry, Princess Nokia, Lil Ugly Mane, Your Old Droog and more.
Raised in Brooklyn’s concrete jungle, a teenage Wiki (Patrick Morales) quickly rose to fame as one third of innovating hip-hop trio Ratking. The experimental group signed to XL Records, landed the cover of The FADER, and soundscaped underground NYC with classic record So It Goes, which was recently included in Pitchfork's Top 200 Albums of the Decade. Wiki, the frontman of the group alongside Hak and Sporting Life, went on to release solo mixtape Lil Me, before dropping his debut solo album, No Mountains In Manhattan, in September 2017.
lefthandloz and Endeavour Live are proud to present Wiki at Aucklands Galatos on Sunday March 1st, with support from local rap giants Eno x Dirty. Known for his adrenaline surging, hyperactive live stage presence, a Wiki show is an unforgettable display of true artistry.
