A wheelchair doesn't disable you, stairs do. Why do we keep building stairs?
An open discussion in the form of a dance installation.

Acknowledging societal ignorance towards disadvantaged communities. We take our seats in the crowd, knowing we have the potential to help others shine even when seated in the shadows. When surrounded by support, resources and an environment that nurtures our abilities, we can do anything.

A newly devised piece, created through collaboration with performers, members of the community and shared knowledge and understanding.
An open discussion on how we view members of the disabled community, mental health, racism, sexism, wealth, education and the way others live their day-to-day lives.

By putting more seats at the table we enable others to have equal opportunities. We learn, laugh and create as a collective community, respecting and celebrating all we can achieve.

Come to the Josephine Foyer at Tōitu.
