The current Covid-19 situation has thrust the concept of teleworking, or working from home, onto millions around the world.

In the tech sector, flexible working and "working from home" has been a way-of-life for a while now. This webinar panel, provided by IT Professionals NZ (the professional body of the tech sector) in partnership with Umbrella Wellbeing, is aimed at all people from all industries, and explores how to make yourself productive, look after your mental health while isolated, and keep your business going while working from home.

Each of the three main panellists will present for 10 minutes each followed by extended, curated Q&A.

Panellists:

Mike Dennehy
Mike is a tech entrepreneur and IT consultant who for several years has worked from his home office in Mt Maunganui, in the Bay of Plenty, and currently serves as President of IT Professionals NZ. As a tech leader Mike will share his insights on staying productive, motivated and how to get the most out of your day.

Gaynor Parkin
Maintaining your own and your colleagues' mental health is essential both when isolated, and when dealing with a crisis such as this. Gaynor is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and founder/CEO of Umbrella wellbeing and will talk about how to look after yourself while navigating the challenges of isolation during a crisis such as this.

Simon Lloyd-Evans
As well as staying safe and productive yourself, it's important to ensure your business gets through these difficult times as well. Experienced CIO Simon Lloyd-Evans will talk about the measures you should be taking to keep your business afloat from an information technology perspective, and how to keep the business functioning when staff are suddenly working from remote locations.

Paul Matthews
Paul is Chief Executive of IT Professionals NZ, the professional body of the tech sector, and will facilitate the panel. He has worked from home regularly over the last 15-20 years and as well as running the Q&A discussion, will chip in with other tips from the tech sector.
